What a night!

Superb turnout, there were over 230 guests who joined in the fun and gave so generously – we made over £8000 to help towards continued research into the illusive vaccine for Meningitis B. Steve Dayman, the Chief Executive of Meningitis UK,  described the progress to date and thanked everyone for their support.

Our compere, Pip Frederick, made sure the evening went according to plan and that every opportunity was taken to relieve our guests of more of their had earned cash! The Monte Carlo Fun Casino did a roaring trade with the Roulette table proving irresistible for its glamour whilst the hardened gamblers amongst us were prepared to try our luck against the ‘House’ on the Blackjack and Stud Poker tables. Prizes were available for the top three winners with the most chips.

The live dance music was once again provided by City Connection who have played at all of Martin’s Gala Balls since 2000. The Dance floor was full from when they started to when they finished at soon after 1pm – they were brilliant.

Our Cabaret this year was Revelations, East London Community Youth Gospel Choir. The Choir consisted of around 30 committed youngsters of between 16 & 25 years old. Their enthusiasm for the music was infectious and the popular Gospel songs they performed had many of our guests, literally, dancing and clapping in the aisles – it was magical.

Hopefully, we’ll see everyone again next year.

Thank you, once again, for your support.
